<title>GreatSchools: 7 yr old girl, acting out - what to do??</title>
	<link>http://community.greatschools.net/q-and-a/353734/7-yr-old-girl-acting-out-what-to-do</link>
<description>My usually wonderful daughter has recently been acting out. I cought her trying to steal candy just before xmas, she lied to her teacher about her reading assignment, she's been whinny at home, and today dug her fingernails into the arms of 3 of her friends at lunch recess... her Dad and I have been divorced since she was 2, we both give her plenty of attention- we play a game everynight before bedtime. I am at a loss as to why-- of course her answer is a sad look and a shrug of her shoulders. Any suggestions?? the almost stealing act got her a letter of appology to Santa, the lying got her a parent/teacher/child meeting, and today she got recess taken away for tomorrow by her teacher, and I took recess away for all of next week as well.</description>
