<title>GreatSchools: Learning Disabilities? How do you find out if you child has one?</title>
	<link>http://community.greatschools.net/q-and-a/351559/Learning-Disabilities-How-do-you-find-out-if-you-child-has-one</link>
<description>My daughter is in the second grade and she's been having problems with both reading and math since Kindergarten. The school keeps putting her in &quot;Special Help&quot; programs that seem to have little to no effect. I've been trying to get them to test her for learning disabilities but they aren't willing to do so. They have told me things like, &quot;Do you really want to label her with an LD that will follow her throughout her entire school career, and there is no testing for Dyslexia in Oregon.&quot; I'm very frustrated and about ready to pull my daughter out of her current school, but I haven't done so because I'm not sure that I could find help for her somewhere else. Does anyone have ideas? Resources? </description>
