<title>GreatSchools: Should elected officials send their children to public schools? </title>
	<link>http://community.greatschools.net/q-and-a/319464/Should-elected-officials-send-their-children-to-public-schools-</link>
<description>While every elected representative will loudly proclaim the need for great schools, many don’t have faith in our nation's public education system. A Heritage Foundation survey found that while just 12 percent of American students attend private schools, 37 percent of U.S. representatives and 45 percent of U.S. senators have bailed out on public education and sent their kids to private schools. Critics argue that if the country’s elected officials had a little more skin in the game, our public schools might be better places. What do you think? Should our elected politicians send their kids to public schools?</description>
