We live in Lansing, MI & are pretty serious now about moving to Alaska due to the falling economy. I want to know more about any government assistance available if need be and also what it is like in the schools as far as diversity goes. We are a white and Hispanic family & I want to know what can my children expect because of this. I don't mean to be offensive to anyone but I know that sometimes even in today's world that race is an issue to some people still and I would hate to put my family. i.e. my kids through any racial or other discrimination. I want to be able to move and the place we move to feel welcoming and like a home should feel inside and out. If anybody has any questions for me that I can answer to get more beneficial advice from you then by all means please let me know. Thank you.
