My 5 year old daugher is extremely shy, she just started back to school K2. I want to make sure she makes friends but I know she wont make the first move, when i ask her who she played with last week, its always one of the boys. She does not like to share news on her schoolday so I have to drag the information out a lot. She is very sensitive, she gets upset easily and when she is upset, she says, you dont love me mommy which really hurts as I tell her always i love her even if i am angry with her, i will ask say Mommy loves you but I am angry right now for doing something naughty. I never label her as shy, and I always telll her i am proud of her when she does something good. How do i make her more confident in herself, I fell she lacks self confidence. my husband says she will grow out of this. She has a 3 year old sister, who is almost the opposite, happy does not whine as much and makes friends a lot easier.
