A reading specialist told me my daughter's area of weakness was spelling. How do you teach spelling to a 5 1/2 year old? I am told sometimes they are just not ready at this age. Is that true? She is in the first grade. Thanks!

There is a book in either the "Dummies" or "Idiots" series on teaching spelling to children. Great book, it give all the rules and exceptions.
