another thing, it also feeds into the best school in Madison. Spring Harbor the other "good" middle school in Madison, is a selective enrollment school that feeds into Memorial, which isn't as good as West. My son absolutely LOVES Hamilton, and as long as we stay in Madison that is the school he will attend.

Hamilton Middle school is awesome. They are somewhat diverse [30% various minorities, but unfortunately only 8% are Black, and 6% Latino/Hispanic]. However, it is open, inclusive, strong academics [rated 10 on great schools] and loads of sports and after school activities. It is also the only "good" middle school in Madison to have the Project Lead The Way pre-engineering curriculum. If you have a middle-schooler in Madison, I strongly encourage you to send them to Hamilton.
