Due to me and my husband working full time I had to have care for my daughter not only for preschool but before and after preschool as well. We choose Gloucester Learning Center, Hayes,VA due to the positive feed back we received when looking around and because it is not only a preschool it is a day care as well. My daughter was able to stay in one place the whole day and not have to be picked up and carted around everyday. Also, unlike most others this preschool was 5 days a week so therefore what had to be taught was not crammed into just a couple of days. This is better on the kids learning and able to spend more time on the materials. The staff at the time that my daughter was in preschool was very compassionate to the kids and my daughter learned a great deal there. My daughter is in kindergarten and still goes to the Gloucester Learning Center before and after school due to me still working full time. The Learning Center is not in her school district but they put her (along with other kids) in a van and meet a bus each day so that she can go to a school in her district. Without this daily transportation it would have been very difficult due to there not being a day care in our school district. The Learning Center is only approx. 5 minutes from our house, it is just the way the districts are split. Hope this helps those that are trying to choose. I only have one child and cherish her each and every day.
