My daughter just started her first year at Mill Run Elementary. So far, I believe this is a great school... much better than where she went to preschool or kindergarten. The teacher has sent home notes about my daughter; and she had her do an All About Me poster at home so she can share information about herself with her classmates. Also, a parent volunteer has called the house to make sure everything was going well (they do this with all new student families). Finally, and perhaps most importantly, there is a wealth of parent involvement as far as I an tell. For my daughter's class, we have half of the moms volunteering regularly in some way.
