Sorry to answer this question so late but there are some very good & great elementary schools and it depends on where you live as to whether or not your child will get to attend. Among them are for public schools Greenfield, Jinx in Chestnut Hill, and Henry... for Private there is Friends Select, Germantown Friends, Cedar Grove, Chestnut Hill for Boys and Springside School for Girls. What makes it great is the long standing reputation for turning out well educated children over the years, the competency of the teachers and administrative staff, community involvement, PTA and diversity
