There are a number of good elementary schools in Eugene, many of which are currently playing with alternative educational strategies. Irving Elementary is one of the most consistantly excellent schools in town, mostly due to continuity between staff and administration. I have heard that Adams and Edgewood are also good, and both in better neighborhoods than Irving. Nothing wrong with Santa Clara, where Irving is, but it's a little boring and away from the rest of Eugene.
