Parent Answers to "What's a great elementary school in Westerville? What makes it great?"

Well, Longfellow Math and Science Magnet School in Westerville was just rated by Columbus Monthly (March, 2009 issue)as the top rated Elementary School in Central Ohio. It only has 1-5 grades and only one classroom per grade. A grand total of 130 students. The uniqueness of this particular school is due to the dedication of the principal, the teachers, and the PTA. My goodness even the stupendous staff. This school has a PTA that surpases all others. This enables the school to have many many extra programs that could not have been arranged if the school district had to fund them.The involvement is tremendous. This school also has Scientists that visit from Battelle Memorial Institute to challenge and teach the kids.
