Indianola Alternative K-8. This is an amazing school. Great administration and teachers. For K-5 there is a full tine art, music, dance (pe) teacher. There is also a wonderful full time school psychologist. There is great parent support and the school is a real community of great folks,

On the north side of town, two of the best Columbus City elementary schools are Indian Springs & Clinton. They both have good teachers, great parent involvement & offer latchkey before & after classes.
Colerain is also a good school with dedicated teachers & integrated special needs programs. Colerain does not offer latchkey, however.
Keep in mind that the city schools generally have larger classes, so schools with tutors & parent volunteers are helpful.
