Shaker Heights is an extraordinary school district, with a very diverse population of students and teachers. Standards are high, and parent participation is expected. Tons of clubs and extracurricular activities.I have friends in other phenomenal districts: Solon, Beachwood, Orange, Mayfield, and South Euclid.
Standards are pretty much the same.

the willoughby-eastlake city school system is a good, along with Parma, Cleveland-heights/university heights, Lakewood, orange village, mentor, wickliffe, south euclid/lyndhurst. But their are a number of Charter schools who have good reputations to like EPREP, Intergenerational School (one of the best schools in cleveland),OHVA/K12 (one of the best virtual charter schools in Ohio).

I vote for shaker and mayfield!i just moved to shaker and it is a complete turnaround from the cleveland school system which is very disorganized. i am sorry. i didn't grow up in cleveland, but from what i see i will try not to have my son enrolled in any of their schools.
