I don't know of any great schools in Akron, the three schools my child has attended has failed me,but what makes a school great is when the staff is more concerned with the childs success instead of their failures. In dealing with these schools, I haven't found one that would actually help a child who has a behavior problem, instead, they usually suspend the child, often using insorbordnation as a reason. When I attended school, there was always, and often teachers who cared enough about their students, who was struggling with subjects, behavior problems, bullying, or anything that would hamper their success, these teachers cared enough to interven and try to get to the root of their problems in order that they would be successful .These teachers now days just don't seem to care. I believe that what makes a great school is when there is just one teacher who stands up and refuse to let a child fail, because, oh, this is just a problem child.
