Pilot MTN Middle School was very good for my son as a LD kid they allowed his accommodations and utilized his skills that were weak to become stronger. I believe the encouragement they receive there is what makes it better for the students to learn.
One problem is the High School they will be elevated to believes the middle school babies the students and does not prepare them for high school and I sense/know there is a struggle there as my son went into H.S. and had problems right off and the H.S. is an under-performing school as the middle school is a over-performing school
The schools just need to let go of ego's and do what is best for the kids there is a middle ground. The schools can not see that or deny that. I have said get over it and all it did was have the Principal at the H.S. be a pain to me and my son.
