All I can say for now is that I am on my way to find out. We are moving this week from Morrisville (next to Cary in Wake County) to Brier Creek (across the Wake County line in Durham County). I have some misgivings because all of my research shows that there are only two good Public high schools in Durham--Jordan and Riverside. I called Jordan today and was told that they are so overcroweded they cannot take anymore students in the middle of the year. Riverside is probably overcroweded also because these are the two that I keep being told are the good ones. Well, my kids will have to tough it out at Hillside (one of the worst I've heard) until I can get them into a magnet or private school. There are only about 5 months of school left but I really do believe the schools in this area need tremendous improvement from what I have read/heard/researched. Seems that in order for your kids to attend a decent school, parents are left to drive 30-40 minutes to work. Otherwise, if you try to get close to work (unless you can pay 400K for a house), you will have a choice of poor schools all around you.

That is what I want to know also. I am moving into that area and have three kids and I have heard terrible things about the schools there.
