Our school of choice for our family is Charlotte Christian. I drive my children 45 min to and from each and every day and pay more than my mortgage each and every month, because I truly believe that this school is helping us create a solid foundation for our children. Our "home" elementary school has changed 3 times in 10 years, so even if we were at a great school, our children would be moved every 2-3 years. We have found the loving, happy, academic environment at CCS above par. My daughter is in the lower school program and moving towards middle school and has had wonderful, highly educated teachers each year (with a full time assistant also degreed), so she has received lots of attention and help when needed. The children are lovingly encouraged to spread their wings, try new things and push for their very best every day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about CCS. You might want to check out the academic scholarships awarded to the graduating seniors of the schools you are interested in. I believe this is indicative of the educational standards and testing scores. Each school should have a record of the previous years scholarships. Like I stated earlier, our daughter would be on her 2nd elementary school with a 3rd opening up this year if she went to our "home school", so who really cares how good they are if your zoning lines are changed every other year? I do wish our school boards would keep our children in mind when moving them back and forth. In the meantime, I will keep paying sky high taxes for a school system that my child doesn't attend and forking over my retirement towards my children's education in hopes that they will receive scholarships for university! Good Luck with your search!

I don't know, but recent changes to my kids' school environment necessitated by the current financial situation have me rethinking my choice of school. I'm curious what the community thingks.
