Well, there is not a lot to compare considering there are no private schools. Please keep in mind that Ely is a community of around 4000 people and is very isolated. There is one high school with about 400 students (White Pine High School). Additionally, there is one middle school and one elementary school in Ely. There used to be a private Catholic elementary school called "Sacred Heart Elementary". It shut down around 11 years ago and is now used for storage by the church. There is an alternative high school called "Steptoe Valley High School" or "the Nova Center", but it is more for students that do not succeed in the traditional high school setting and only serves a handful of students. The public schools in White Pine CSD are very good and offer their students many resources and opportunities that schools in other districts cannot. Hope that helps.
