When my son was 2 I started touring preschools. Each one has a different feel and focus. At some schools I really didn't click with the administration or I "caught" the teachers in situations where the student/teacher ratios were certainly higher than the state requirements. Other schools took way too long to return a call or didn't follow up with a promised packet in the mail. I went with a school close to home that had a focus on socialization skills, a variety of arts and crafts, options for Spanish class and music class and an owner who returned calls and low teacher turnover. My son will start his second year and I couldn't be happier. It's really nice to have the same teacher throughout the day who can really provide some feedback to me on my son's day.
