Excel Charter Academy is a pre 5's-8th elementary school that is based entirely on academic achievement, mental prowess, and moral standards. as your kids grow up through the grades, they are given a different moral each month to remind and focus them, at the beginning of the next month, the children are assebled and given a certificate of excelence. compared to the surrounding schools, especially gr public, the academic standards are much higher. I was righting my first book report by second grade, as well as learning multiplication, cursive and states came in 3rd grade with improvements made on past experience, and in 4th grade the students memorize all the state capitals and place them on a map. 5-8th will improve upon past experiences, open new doors, and ready your child for highschool, something i've felt extremely happy to have had. all in all i would give this school a 9 out of 10, only because i wished the school was bigger and there were more kids to talk to when i was there.

As a past parent and current academic coach at St. Paul the Apostle Elementary School (PS-8) in southeast GR, I can't say enough about the value this school provides to its students and parents. Thanks to an incredible group of highly experienced teachers and staff, academic achievement is high, and children learn in an environment that is warm and loving. These kids are actively engaged in the classroom and after school learning opportunities - parents are highly involved as volunteers, further underscoring a feeling of family. I've never experienced anything quite this powerful in a small school.
