Framingham has School Choice. You basically have an "enrollment period" for kindergarten where you go through the enrollment process which includes:

*Sending in the paperwork for enrollment
*School Tours (different themes, same curriculum)
*Kindergarten Fair (information packets and staff to answer questions)
*Informational meeting at the Parent Center (go over the process)

For kindergarten you choose your first 4 choices in preferential order and the selection is done by lottery.

There are full day and half day offerings for Kindergarten, although you pay for full day (there is a needs based sliding scale). Full day assignments are done by lottery.
