Parent Answers to "What's a great elementary school in Beverly? What makes it great?"

A great elementary school is one that strives for excellence. Unfortunately, Beverly has a math program in the elementary and middle school called Everyday Math which is one of the poorest math programs available today. A number of neighboring cities and towns have discarded it because of numerous problems especially its dependence on calculators. It also never requires children to master basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division before algebra is introduced. When children don't master arithmetic, they will need tutoring or remedial work sometime in their young lives. Beverly needs to wake up!
