There are plenty of great public schools. Don't make the same mistake I did by sending my child to Cardinal Shehan thinking paying for an education would be better. When in fact it's not always true. My son was not being taught and he is now in public school and being tutored trying to catch up on the 3 wasted years in private school doing much of nothing. CARDINAL SHEHAN IS A HORRIBLE SCHOOL!

The Best Public Schools in the city are Poly, City, Dunbar High School and Kipp Academy. The Best Public ones in county are in the Towson area. There are plenty of great private schools in Baltimore City and county.
