My oldest children attended a pricey, suburban private school in Lexington for several years. They go to public school now. The public school quickly identified my children for special gifted/talented services that were seemingly unavailable at the private school. Except for the social side of things, I can't say that I was overly impressed with the private school experience. Factor in the money spent, and I want to cry.

Well, my son and daughter have attended both. Public school got my son bullied and hurt and didn't really help him, even though they had him in special ed due to his Dyslexia. Bad experience with private school downtown Lexington, KY where the teachers cussed at the kids, and gave 3-4 hrs worth of homework at night. Then I found another private school for kids with Dyslexia and learning disabilities. Wonder children and teacher, improved my son in his reading amazingly! No more bullies, they just aren't there. It is KORE Academy (Kids Obtaining a Real Education). Anyone looking for the right school for their child should contact them, you will not be disappointed! www.koreacademy.com
