I haven't found a good elementary school in North Chicago yet. My daughter will be entering into kindergarten in September 2009 and my husband and I are going to send her to private school. It's expensive but I don't think my child will benefit at all from North Chicago Public schools. Alice's Discovery Center in North Chicago has the accrediation to have a kindergarten class but not enough enrollment. Hopefully by 2009 they will have more students and my daughter can continue to attend school there. They have an excellent program...my daughter(4 1/2yrs) and my son (3yrs) are far more advanced than most kids in their age range and I have to give ADC part of the credit. They also have a great nursery...my 5 month old is already trying to crawl!
