My choice of preschool for my son was that it was in an actual school, which would provide a structured/learning environment. It was also good for his social skills. Being around kids his age and older. He would always ask me in preschool " when I leave here, am I going to 1st grade". I asked the pre-k teacher things like, how long is quiet/nap time? How long is play time? What are some of the educational activities they would perform throughout the day? I went for a mostly learning environment. Now he is in Kindergarten and after his first day he told me "mommy we didn't take a nap today". lol. I said sorry big boy that luxury is over!
