Parent Answers to "What's a great elementary school in Athens? What makes it great?"

It depends where you live in Athens. I'm in the east side of the city and the research I've done points to Gaines. My kids have gone there for 2 years now and we are quite happy here. I like the teachers and staff, great gifted program, the school policies, esp. on bullying - no tolerance, and the after school classes. The only thing lacking is parental involvement, but that's a problem in most Athens school. Hope this helps!
