Enrollment is fairly simple: call the school board to find out which school your child is districted to, then go in there. You'll need a couple forms of ID, shot records, proof of residency, etc. And, of course, you'll have to fill out a lot of paperwork.
The things I say parents should know are:
*Make sure the teachers are state qualified AND certified (not all are!!).
*Check the quality of the school. Some are worse than others. Even with gov't funding, some schools still have problems in some subjects, or even all around.
*You may live closer to another school than your child "should" be attending; to get your child to go there, you must first enroll then withdraw them from the district school, then go enroll them at the other school. Kind of a pain.
