I am currently moving to the town and country area and am interesting in knowing what are the best public schools there.

If you already live in Tampa you're pretty much relegated to the school in your district. They have really tightened up on School Choice in the past 2-3 years.
If you are moving to Tampa, the Tampa Palms / New Tampa area has very good schools: the elementary schools are Tampa Palms Elementary, Chiles Elementary and Hunter's Green Elem. They have excellent principals, dedicated teachers and the schools are in the newer (but pricier) parts of Tampa.
