I had my son enrolled in Palmetto Elementary School in Poinciana, Fl. I visited the classroom very often to keep track on my son curriculum and his grades. Well let me in form the public and you that I had to take him out of that school immediately. Due to a lots of problems, back to back. It turned out to be that my son when playing in the PE grounds, the PE teacher that was in-charge of all the students tend to use as an excuse that he was not present by walking away and letting all the students to do whatever they wanted. Example; The teacher in charge was inside a classroom when all this took place and then the kids that were practicing football in the evening after class was practicing by running and head bumping tackling my son and other students and hurting them with no proper equipment. Knocking out cold my son to the floor and hurting him and passing out by slamming their body against with their heads on his ribs and his knees. I had too take him to the emergency room not once but two times and absorbing a out standing bill for $190.00, because the school didn't cover the bill nor the Education Department of Bartow. But when my son returned back to the PE ground and the same alumnus come back to hurt my son "I personally told him that "if" the teacher was not in sight to defend himself. Once he try to defend himself he was expelled for three days. As a matter fact a kid was pick up from the PE grounds because he hurt 7 students including my son again. The kid that did that was sent to the court and removed out of that school. I was so upset and concern for my son and my pocket as well. I asked the principal to put a camera in the PE grounds and to have that teacher to supervise the students and not walk away from them. So my answer is to have the peers of all the students be investigated as well. Because indirectly they were also instigators by bringing up football as PE exercise without the proper equipment and the kid that was removed from that school could of also been prevented from being expelled that school. Please help and inform me about this serious situation. Not mentioning the retaliation from other teachers as well, because I confronted them. But who was the target was my son on all this. Again, I'll be looking forward to know what are the venues to have this matter resolved about this PE school play ground and the Peers teacher who suppose to watch these students accordingly. I know that "if" the school gets contacted on this matter they are going to tell you differently. I have evidence of all the Bills, court papers requesting my son to come to the court to testify against this student that was expelled and bring charges against. Including my son grades and tests that wasn't giving to him bringing down his grades. Setting him for failure. Please help! Thank you!
