My son went to Brite Beginnings Daycare and he loved it. the Director is a former School Dean she is great with the kids but as they get older she doesn't play games with them. She is direct and to the point. My son attended that daycare from the time he was a little over 2 until he just started Kindergarten 2 weeks ago. He made great friends and learned a lot. He loved the VPK program and lots of students were there for that, once VPK ended his class dropped down to 5 to 8 kids. Even though the director was stern, he loves her and misses the teachers and friends he left behind. She went the extra mile also. An example is sometimes on Friday afternoon if the ice cream truck came by she would get all the kids ice cream. It really made the kids feel happy and special. Little things. They have a Halloween party and the kids wear their costumes and trick or treat from car to car. They had fund raisers for new educational toys, the class that raised the most money won an ice cream sundae party. They had a contest for parents to susubmit ideas of different activities, all parents that submitted suggestions were entered in a drawing to get a discount off a weeks daycare. 1st prize was a 75.00 discount, 2nd was 50.00 and 3rd was 25.00. They made things fun.
My son attended Kindercare from the time he was 10 months old until I switched him to Brite Beginnings after he turned 2. Kindercare didn't have the type of things I mentioned above.
