Parent Answers to "What's a great elementary school in Orange Park? What makes it great?"

Fleming Island Elementary is a great school with a ton of parent involvement. I think the enormous amount of volunteers at this school is key to it's success. If you have a child who is average to gifted, they will definitely be challanged and have a wonderful educational opportunity. If you have a child with a learning disability, I'm afraid they may fall through the cracks at this school unless you absolutely become an advocate. (Unfortunately I think this may be the case with all public schools in FL though until the laws are changed). I moved to this area specifically for this school and many other parents do the same.
I also hear that Thunderbolt and Patterson Elementary are also great schools as well as Orange Park Elementary, but I"m not as familiar with those schools.
