If you want a part-time "playschool" atmosphere for children 3 and under, apply (early!) to Little Shepherds at First Pres. Church on Lake Hollingsworth. It's only 9am-1pm. However, I don't feel they adequately prepare kids for Kindergarten--probably because there just aren't enough hours in their day. My 4-y-o is attending Victory Christian Academy part-time for the summer, and they are doing a great job of preparing him for Kindergarten (elsewhere).
Resurrection Catholic School has a wonderful Preschool! Many schools will tell you that they are developmentally-appropriate and educate the whole child, but this school actually does. They value family involvement and seek to help every child grow and learn with them everyday.
I send my child to Hands and Hearts in Motion which is also known as Oasis Church. It is awesome. It was private when I started two years ago, and now it is a VPK. I love the school. My child is more than prepared for kindergarten. The teachers are very lovings and stern. My child is not easy, and I appreciate everything they have done for him.
My child is in pre-k 4 at Victory Christian Academy. Me and my husband were very happy to send him there. It is so amazing that a 5 year old child can say bible verses and know simple things about God. My family do not go to church there because we have a different religious denomination but sending my son to that school is worth it. My son is growing mentally and spiritually and the values he learned from that school is amazing...
