I do believe the best one is Special treasures. They are a daycare and a preschool. My daughter went there for her first year of prek. I did my research on all the schools in the area. They were the only one that allowed her to have her emergency inhaler there at the school with her. It was kept with the teacher but still it was there. Mrs. Estrella, the owner, is a wonderful person. She loves each and every child there. She knows each and everyone of their names. The day I went to go visit and check it out before I made my decision as to whether or not my daughter would go, she let me come in and look around. One of the things that really pleased me was the fact that everywhere she went the children(no matter there ages) were so excited to see her. Not once did a child ever hide or run from her. I am a firm believer that children can sense things from people that we are sometimes blind to . If we let them they can tell us wether or not someone is good or not. Also, the whole time my daughter was there Mrs. Estrella always went the extra mile to help me or Moriah in situations. She is firm when she needs to be and loving and nice any other time. The preschool teachers that my daughter had were awesome. Actually, the whole time we were there we got to know just about all the teachers and staff. Every time we walked in their it was like walking into your families house. That is what that place was, one big family! They were very sensitive to My daughters medical needs and went out of their way to always make the children feel welcomed. Since my daughter was sick since the day she was born she was never away from me, her father, or imediate family. So once in a while but very rarely she would cry when I dropped her off. Every teacher in that place would help to make her feel better and would not stop until she had a smile on her face. Then when it was time for them to graduate she cried cause she did not want to leave pre-k! LOL! Ms Estrella and her husband, as well as the other staff, went out of their way to make sure that the pre-k graduation was awesome. They had their little caps and gowns, their sashes, and even got a "diploma" for graduating. I am telling you that this place could not have been any better suited to her needs. It is by far the best place in Lake Wales, possibly even the state! Please, go and check it out today, you won't be sorry! It is located on Scenic hwy (or hwy 17) in lake wales. The "principles" name is Ms Estrella Douglas and trust me she will be so happy to have you as a part of their little family!
