A GREAT school is one that has strong academics INCLUDING strong art, music, media, and physical education programs. In tough times, these programs seem to be where most cuts are made, though it's in arts classes where kids get to express themselves and discover who they are. Music is most important to me because my children are very musical. I would not send my child to a school without an excellent music teacher whose curriculum supported the rest of the school. Also, After-school musical ensembles are extremely important to me- especially a quality school chorus that sings all types of literature, not just musicals or the popular ear candy we hear on the radio. Everyone has a voice- it's unique, free, and YOURS. Learn to sing out no matter what occupation you choose or where you are, and you will succeed in life.
