It is very hard in a large district. Parents need to be in touch with the school. Teachers staff etc. I find that involved parents create positive environment for their children. There for the children achieve higher goals.

we move from florida, and everyone was telling us how bad was Wilby Hight School , we just prove to everyone what I just always believe the school is part of your child education but the responsability is in the parenting at home , My daughter just win the 2nd place inthe Science Fair , two year ago she receive a medal from the white house , if the child has a good value and a good parenting will shine not matter what parent need to get involved at school been more helpful at the classroom , at home comunicated ; simple just get involved , remenber is a team work , and something important if mom and dad are unified is the best the same formula work as parent and school

Rotella and Maloney are good magnet schools for elementary, Crosby and Kenedy are good highschools. As for districs, I don't know.
One school for sure that i am very happy with, is Washington School...Big Congrats to all the STAFF there...
