Turn of River Middle School has been great. The school is run by Dr. Fernandes and he has done an amazing job with this school. He will only accept the best from his teachers and will not take any less. He is all over any discipline issues. He makes sure that kids are accountable for their actions including bringing all the kids that have not been doing their homework into the cafeteria to speak to them as a group to let them know they need to improve. On the other hand, he is sure to praise those students who are going beyond what is expected of them. They have an ice cream social for all of the students who make the honor roll each quarter. They have an anti-bullying policiy, they have a month where the students do random acts of kindness for one another...there is a lot about this school that makes it great, you should go and check it out for yourself.
