Well, first you have to know that Temple City schools are rated very well, but you also need to know that not all Temple City residents are privileged enough to be included in the TCSD. Also know that neighboring cities are included in TCSD, but not all of TC residents. Really, if they have the space and resources to include kids from neighboring cities, they should first and foremost include your own city's residents. We had the kids in private school up until this year wholly because of this districting nonsense. This is particularly aggravating to me as I am a TC resident and my kids will have to go to schools administered by the El Monte School District. The test scores tell the tale as you can see when comparing the schools.

I also however have to say, that since my kids have been at Cleminson - a school located in TC proper, but administered by the EMSC, we have been exceedingly pleased with Cleminson school and wish we had made the change from private school much sooner.

It is still a mystery what will happen in middle and high school though.
