Palisades Preschool next to St. Paul's Lutheran Church! My son went here when it first opened and it was a wonderful experience with just the right balance of fun and a little bit of academics for the older ones. It was presented in a way that was like a game and not like they were learning something in school. The rooms inside are beautifully decorated with different themes and the children can wander on their own from the dress up room to the block room to the reading room, etc. Teachers are superb.
My daughter is at Westside Montessori and we LOVE it - great teachers, nice kids and families, NO attitude at all (which is rare on the Westside).
Lighthouse. Children learn to read and the teachers are not just doing a job; they love the children.
Delphi Academy of Santa Monica is fantastic. They have an early reading program and have structure in educating the students that works. The classes are small and the faculty is second to none. If you are looking for an excellent academic program for your child, look at Delphi Academy.
Santa Monica Montessori School is an excellent school. My son has been at smms for 7 plus years and is doing so well. Just take a tour and see what you think!
