My son currently attends the Pacific Center for Creative Learning (PCCL) a very small private school for gifted and highly gifted children. A wonderful alternative school environment! Gifted kids don't always do well in traditional schools because they are unable to support a child when they are either too far ahead or have lost interest.
PCCL has a caring staff and open structure that allows my child to go at his own fast pace. My son enjoys the frequent field trips and has been emotionally moved by some of community service projects he's participated in.
I recommend this school for any family with a child who needs alternative education to support his or her learning style. You can visit their website: www.pcclschool.org
