Marian,

I definitely recommend you contact the San Juan School District. They have a website with a lot of information available to parents looking to enroll their child(ren). There is actually a lot to know and you need to enroll sooner than you think. Also, it depends if you want to enroll in your neighborhood school (which you can find out from their website) or an alternative, open school. For the alternative schools, you have to enter into the lottery system. Good lucks and hope this helps you.

You can view the San juan School district website at: www.sanjuan.edu/
There is a wealth of information on this site. You can find a particular school by clicking on the "schools" drop down menu and see all the schools.
You can also contact the district main office and speak with someone there for more information. They are located at: 3738 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608 (916) 971-7700.
Good luck.
