It depends on what environment is best for you and your child. For my daughter, Los Gatos Parent Nusery School was great for her. She liked the choices, the kids and the teacher. I liked the sense of community and the ability to share in her day.
My son did not thrive in this environment as there were too many adults involved in directing him and the choices offered more chaos and confusion than options. So, Village Preschool in Saratoga was the right place for him. A traditional drop off school where it is set up more like what he will find in kindergarten, with free play but required work.
I love Los Gatos Preschool and Childcare. PJ has prepared my kids so well for kindergarten, and life. She is disciplined yet so kind and loving. She serves organic foods and even grows her veggies in a mini farm next to the preschool. My kids see chickens and horses and play outside . she has a clean home with lots of toys. She teaches Yoga and has music time 3 times a week. they have a spring and a winter program .. I love the place..
I had a very positive experience. It requires 3 hours per week participation by each family.
The school is also a private k-5 but it was too pricey for me so now we are in public. they say you can tell a mulberry child from other children because of the social and coping skills that are exemplified and taught by the teachers.
i improved as a parent from the experience and my mind was expanded.
