My kids went to the preschool at Carden Conservatory and I was very please with their program. The teachers are loving and kind. In addition to letters, numbers, colors, etc - the younger preschoolers learn to respect each other, greet each other, manners, independence, etc. The older kids learn to write their names, beginning reading/writing skills, fine motor skills (for future writing), etc. Ms. Nelson is the best when it comes to getting the kids ready for kindergarden!
Well its close enought to huntington beach, Marleys Preschool located at sunset beach is an excellent christian based school. They offer computer literacy, music, and they have a low ratio per teacher from ages 2-6. Their pre-k program is also excellent. I would highly recommend this school, not only because of the academic program but also the teachers are very loving to the kids. The school is clean and very well maintained.
My daughter goes to the preschool sponosored by the Boys and Girls Club in Huntington Beach off Waikiki Lane. They are NAEYC accredited and the kids learn so much. It is well structured and they have lots of room to learn and play. There are separate playgrounds for infants, toddlers, and potty-trained kids. There is a lot of parent involvement and they have an open door policy. Their bathroom is always so nice and clean (parents care about that!) and they do lots of activities including arts and crafts. They have family nights, open house, picture day, etc. I searched high and low for a good preschool. I have 3 kids and this is my first I had to put into a program so I was very picky and selective. Their program was by far the best and the best priced was just an added bonus. I don't think there is any other preschool in Huntington Beach that can match their rates, they are probably the lowest in the area.
Valley Day Preschool is actually in Fountain Valley but is wonderful. They have separate classrooms for each age group and do a wonderful job with pre-K prep
Surf City Christian Preschool is a fabulous preschool. I am not sure why it is not listed under the preschool category. In any event, this is a wonderful preschool.
The owners - the Hopkins, the teaching staff, and the office staff are all so very loving and caring of our children. Equally important is the academic program which is preparing our children for Kindergarten. My daughter has been attending Surf City Christian for a for 2 years. She has advanced very much in the short time at Surf City.. I can not say enough about this preschool.
