I just spoke to a woman at an elementry school in Downey because we are moving to the DUSD and she told me that we need check out papers from the old school. A physical report if they have one on file, or they might ask for another one from your doctor. The last report card just to help the teacher know where your child is in all subjects. An updated ID from DMV (just the change of address form is OK), a letter from the gas or electric company showing service in your name, the child's birth certificate and immunization record. But be aware they have something that they call over flow, the lower grades can't have more than 20 kids in each class and if they are full you will be sent to another "near by" school. I don't know how near it will be.
