In my opinon, the greatest elementary school in Chino is Rhodes Elementary. The staff is excellent and the parent involvement is spectacular. The ciriculum is a little harder then you would find at some of the surrounding schools. They really expect a lot from the kids, but the kids tend to keep up with it. For example, my son, who is in the 2nd grade at Rhodes is in the process of learning about the different branches of government at the city, state and national levels. I couldn't believe they were teaching my 7 year old about government, something I didn't learn till I was in the 9th grade, but my son picked it up quickly and got 100% on his social studies test and it helped that everyone was talking about the election, which got the kids more interested in the subject. Rhodes teach the kids in a way that is fun, entertaining and interesting. My son loves the school and I couldn't think of a better place to have him educated. I just wish the school taught all the way through 12th grade.
