Chico Country Day School is a top school in the area. They have the second highest scores in the district, while having arts, music, and other non-traditional areas of learning. They are based on thematic learning, so they use all modalities. It is a lottery system to get in and a waiting list of over 70 from last time I heard. We are very happy with it!
I went to Emma Wilson, and experienced nothing but good teachers. I'm not sure if it is still this way though, because now I'm in high school. So if your looking for good teachers, excpecially in the lower grades, I'd say this is the perfect school. The only thing that I can say that's bad about it is that the staff (mostly just the yard dutys) were a little menacing.
