My son Henry has been going to Miss Wendy's school for just over 2 years now. We found her after an exhaustive search of the alhambra city pages and after asking other parents in our baby coop. From the first, she really stood out from the crowd.
She's been wonderful. She strikes a great balance between play and learning, between loving attention and supportive expectations. It's a small, home-style setting, but it feels distinctly school-like. She's been doing it a long time (over 15 years) and every year she adds something. Our son is learning Mandarin along with english.
We have a new child coming in the spring, and as soon as he's old enough, we'll send him to Miss Wendy's school. She also runs an afterschool program, so we're planning on taking Henry over there after he starts kindergarden (there's not yet a chinese program in the south pas schools).
