High school teachers need to to be trained in DISCIPLINING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - this is based on my experience with VHS. The block scheduling (90min classes) is not effective in most cases. There is too much wasted time which leads to too much socializing in the classroom amongst students.It is also disheartening to realize that in most cases, students must take AP classes if they really want to LEARN. It's not ALL bad at VHS...some EXCELLENT teachers and principal is accessible.
