I am going to be moving to the Monroe area and have three grade school boys. What is the best school to enroll

My boys are 5, 7 and 9. I also have a child with and Individualized Educational Plan who needs an aide. Where is the best school to enroll them?

Hi. I'm not from MI, but I have a son with an IEP. In most communities, where you live determines which school your children are "zoned" to attend, but for a child with special needs, your "local" school may not have the required services, so the district may have a different facility where children are assisted. My advice is to contact a local family support group for whatever condition your child has been diagnosed with (ie, www.chadd.org for ADHD, or www.interdys.org for reading issues and dyslexia, or www.autismspeaks.org for spectrum disorders, or www.thearc.org for conditions like Downs, etc.) and network through those parents to find out about the best schools and other resources in a given community.
For general questions and support, I also invite you to join Greatschools Learning and Attention Difficulties Group at community.greatschools.net/groups/11554
